Riyad believes the very foundation for a lifelong healthy oral cavity begins with regularpreventative appointments. Visiting the dental office every six months removes harmful disease causing bacteria. The risks of developing gum disease, periodontal complications, as well as tooth decay can be tremendously reduced through a routine maintenance program.
Riyad fosters a spirit of teamwork through educating the patient in at-home oral health care. He also loves children and works on young people from the age of 2 years old. A strong advocate of dental sealants to help prevent tooth decay, Riyad advises parents and children alike on proper diet and tooth brushing techniques.
A graduate of Howard University, Riyad served as his class president and graduated with honors. Currently, he serves as president of the Howard University College of Dentistry Dental Hygiene Advisory Board and stays informed of the latest advances in the dental profession. in his spare time, Riyad enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife as well as rooting for our Washington Redskins.
Dr. Fazil Alie D.D.S, B.A.
Dr. Fazil Alie is an honors graduate of Howard University School of Dentistry Class of 1980, where he received first- rate training in all aspects of general dentistry.
Having practiced dentistry for over 34 years, Dr. Alie combines of state of the art technology, sensible treatment plans and genuine devotion to the unique needs of each patient Dr. Alie preserves healthy teeth and gums, alleviates oral discomfort and improves the appearance of smiles on a daily basis. He has applied his unique blend of artistic and technical skill to produce durable and aesthetic results in thousands of patients. An experienced dentist with a grasp of the most innovative, minimally invasive new procedures, Dr. Alie is dedicated to lifelong learning through continuing education courses.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Alie enjoys spending time with his 4 grandchildren, traveling with his wife, and is an avid golfer.
Dr. Alie is licensed by the Maryland State Dental Board and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Maryland Dental Society.
Riaaz N. Alie D.D.S., B.A.
Dr. Riaaz Alie earned his Bachelor's degree at the New York University before graduating from Howard University College of Dentistry. He was born in the D.C. metro area and takes great pride in serving his community. Dr. Alie strives to provide the highest quality dental care in a pain free and comfortable manner using the latest in dental technology. A solid doctor-patient relationship is vital in the maintenance of oral health, Dr. Alie will always make time to speak with his patients in order to understand their unique concerns. He is especially passionate about educating his patients on how to prevent dental diseases. He was a dental researcher at the New York University College of Dentistry studying the relationship between genetics and dental disease. Dr. Alie has presented his research at several dental meetings throughout the country including the Greater New York Dental Meeting, the largest dental meeting in America.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Alie enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and two cats. He is an avid sports fan and, of course, a lifelong fan of our Washington Redskins.
Dr. Riaaz Alie is a licensed by the Maryland State Dental Board and is a member of the American Dental Association & Southern Maryland Dental Society.
